If you’re a parent, you know the challenge: finding a place where your little ones can burn off energy without sweating into a puddle in the Houston heat. Luckily, The Woodlands area has some great indoor play places to get the energy out without you feeling like you’re melting. WIN WIN! These indoor playgrounds are the perfect thing for a rainy day or a blistering hot day. Now let’s check them out!

Oh Toodles

Get your phone ready to take photos because this place is SOOO CUTE!!! What I love about this place is the division of the big kids play place and the little kids play place BUT it’s open in between so you can see both areas. They have a cafe for you to enjoy some food and a coffee while the kiddos play. It’s such a fun environment and they have some really cool birthday parties there too. They have a membership if you want to make it a weekly hangout session with your best friends and your kids.

Cheeky Monkeys

This is one of our friend’s kiddos favorite places to go and our new one too. It does have a cost per hour to play so keep that in mind, but it is a great place for kids to burn off energy and get ready for a nice long nap (hopefully not on the way home). They have both play and learning opportunities with arts and crafts, ballet, yoga, etc which is awesome. The grownups can enjoy a hot or cold beverage and catch up while the kiddos play. Love it!

Think multi level climbing frames, twisting slides, obstacle courses, ball pits, a dedicated toddler area, and even a small arcade for extra fun. We Rock The Spectrum

If you haven’t been here yet, you need to go! They have tons of cool things for the kiddos to play that are meant to be engaging and thought provoking. They have a zip line, a hanging swing, dress up clothes, a coloring station and more. One of my favorite spots though is their calm down room to help with over stimulation. They are very inclusive and specifically designed for kids with disabilities. We adore it there!

Woodlands Church Play Area

This has a really cool playground from what I’ve heard but we haven’t been able to make the hours work to visit yet. It’s not open all the time so be sure to check that before you go (usually open M, W, F, from 9-3 PM). It is in a 40 foot atrium with 22 foot spiral slides coming down and tons of opportunity to play and explore. There is a cafe nearby but using the play structure itself is free!
