North Houston
Conroe Candy Cane Holiday Trail
Location: Candy Cane Park, Conroe
Dates: December 5–28, 2025
This brand new, 2025 drive through light trail is a great option if you’re north of Houston. Expect illuminated tunnels, festive displays, and an easy drive-through experience that’s perfect for families. Also expect long wait times. Pack lots of snacks and have fun!
The Gullo House
Location: Old Hockley Road, Magnolia
Dates: Usually beginning around Thanksgiving and continuing through December 31, 2025.
The Gullo House has long been one of the most talked about Christmas light displays in the Magnolia area. Known for its massive property and over the top holiday décor, this drive by display has drawn visitors from all over the Greater Houston area in past years.
Shepherd Park Plaza Lights
Location: Near Ella & 43rd Street
Dates: Throughout December and into early January 2026
This neighborhood goes all out for the holidays, with coordinated lighting throughout the area. It’s perfect for a slow drive or evening walk to take everything in.
Dodd Family Holidays
Location: 62 W Knightsbridge Drive
Dates: Please check their Facebook page for day-off updates, especially in case of weather related changes.
A beloved neighborhood tradition, the Dodd Family Holiday display brings festive charm and beautifully decorated surroundings. Perfect for a cozy evening drive with kids or visitors from out of town.
The Christmas Village
Location: 1225 Christmas Village Ln, Huntsville, TX
Dates: November 13th - December 28th | 5pm - 11pm
If you’re looking for a true small-town holiday experience, The Christmas Village in Huntsville delivers all the festive charm. This walk through holiday attraction brings the season to life with twinkling lights, themed buildings, and classic Christmas cheer around every corner.
North West Houston
Prestonwood Forest “Nite of Lites”
Location: Prestonwood Forest Drive and Highway 249
Dates: December 13th to Wednesday, December 31st, 2025.
Lights generally come on around 6:00 PM, right at dusk, and stay lit until 10:00 PM on weekdays. If you’re planning a weekend visit, you’ll get a bit more time. Displays usually stay on until 11:00 PM on Friday and Saturday nights. This is one of our favorite spots to drive through.
Santa’s Wonderland
Location: 18898 Hwy 6 College Station
Dates: November 14 - January 4
Whether you’re exploring the glowing light displays with family, snapping photos in Santa’s Town, or warming up with a hot chocolate by a firepit, Santa’s Wonderland is a must visit holiday destination.
Quincannon Lane’s Candy Wonderland
Location: Off I-10 & Gessner Road
Dates: Usually late November - Early January
This colorful, candy-themed street is especially popular with families. The playful decorations and cheerful lights make it feel like a scene straight out of a holiday movie.
West & Southwest Houston
Sugar Land Holiday Lights
Location: Constellation Field, 1 Stadium Drive, Sugar Land
Dates: Late November 2025 – Early January 2026
One of the largest holiday light events in the Houston area, Sugar Land Holiday Lights features millions of lights, themed zones, photo opportunities, and family friendly attractions. This is a ticketed event and a great option for a full evening outing.
Magical Winter Lights
Location: Fort Bend County Fairgrounds, Rosenberg
Dates: November 2025 – Early January 2026
This immersive lantern style festival returns for 2025 with colorful, larger than life displays and interactive installations. If you’re looking for something vibrant and unique, this one is worth the trip.
South & Southeast Houston
Galaxy Lights at Space Center Houston
Location: 1601 NASA Parkway
Dates: November 15, 2025 – January 4, 2026
A Houston favorite with a twist, Christmas lights meet outer space. Galaxy Lights is a fully confirmed 2025 experience featuring glowing tunnels, interactive displays, and space themed holiday décor. Tickets are required.
Ice Land - Festival Of Lights
Location: 1 Hope Boulevard, Galveston, TX 77554
Dates: November 22nd - January 3rd
Step into a winter wonderland where over two million sparkling lights shimmer across Galveston Bay, bringing your favorite holiday music to life through themed scenes. Glide across the outdoor ice rink, warm up with rich hot chocolate, enjoy festive seasonal treats, and indulge in holiday buffets, all wrapped in pure Christmas magic.
The Light Park – A Holiday Drive-Thru Light Show

Turn up the holiday magic without ever leaving your car. This unforgettable drive-thru experience features millions of dazzling lights perfectly synced to festive music, creating a high energy light and sound show you’ll enjoy from start to finish. Just tune your radio to DJ Polar Ice, roll down the windows (or blast the heat), and let the lights do the rest.
Marriott Marquis Houston – Texas Winter Lights
Location: 1777 Walker Street
Dates: November 17 – December 31 | 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Looking for a festive escape without leaving the city? Think about staying, but make it magical. The Marriott Marquis Houston turns its Altitude Rooftop and pool deck into a glowing winter experience, filled with thousands of twinkling lights and seasonal activations.
Central Houston
TXU Energy Presents Zoo Lights
Location: Houston Zoo, 6200 Hermann Park Drive
Dates: November 21, 2025 – January 4, 2026
One of Houston’s most popular holiday traditions returns in 2025. Zoo Lights transforms the Houston Zoo with illuminated animal displays, festive music, and walk through light tunnels. Tickets are required and tend to sell out.
Winter Wonderlawn at POST Houston
Location: POST Houston, 401 Franklin Street
Dates: November 7, 2025 – January 11, 2026
If you love skyline views with your Christmas lights, Winter Wonderlawn delivers. This elevated holiday experience features thousands of lights, decorated trees, and a festive atmosphere right in Downtown Houston.
Astros “Light Up The Park”
Location: Daikin Park, Downtown Houston
Dates: November 22, 2025 – January 4, 2026
New for 2025, the Astros are lighting up Daikin Park with a walk-through holiday light experience inside the stadium. Expect themed displays, photo ops, and a fun downtown holiday vibe.
