Now let’s take a look at some of the pumpkin patches that have more events going on other than finding your perfect pumpkin.

Old Time Christmas Tree Farm – Spring, TX Pumpkin Patch

The Old Time Christmas Tree Farm is located in Spring TX. Don’t let the name fool you! They have fantastic fall themed event days with pumpkins available for purchase. The pumpkin “patch” is more like pumpkin piles spread throughout, but it was still a blast for my son. We love all of the cute photo opportunities set up throughout and you can also take some with the Christmas trees as a background too of course.

Tickets cost $10 per person (age 2+) with pumpkins, food, and attraction tickets are sold separately. They have some delicious food (bbq, shaved ice, and funnel cakes) and cold water since let’s face it, even in October, it’s still usually pretty hot. In addition to all of the pumpkins, they also have train rides, hay rides, petting zoo, and a bunch of inflatable activities. It’s open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in October. Click here for the full schedule.

This is one my family has gone to multiple times both with and without kids to walk around and enjoy. It’s not HUGE like some of the other ones, but it did keep us busy for a few hours.

Once Upon a Cowboy – Tomball, TX Pumpkin Patch

This is a new one this year with a pumpkin patch, Halloween decorations, trick or treating from cowboys and characters, and an outdoor laser tag arena (for an additional fee). This is in addition to all of the other live entertainment and attractions they typically have there. From my understanding, think of this like a fun place to take the kids that just so happens to have a pumpkin patch and some other Halloween themed things there, so it’s not a huge fall festival like the other ones. They have areas to ride dinosaurs, dig for fossils, puzzle boxes/escape rooms to solve, mining stones, live shows, and so much more. The puzzle boxes and escape rooms are an additional fee. This is one you want to reserve ahead of time and keep in mind that they are only open for 3 hour time slots so you’ll want to get there early in your time. Click here for more information.

Hours are Fridays 5-8 PM, Saturdays and Sundays 9 AM-12 PM, 1-4 PM and 5-8 PM. General admission is $29.99 with kids 3 and under free.
